Remarks: The date of the imprint differs from the date of the ‘Mora', 1491. This may indicate that this edition was dependent on an edition printed in 1491; cf. G‑318.

Binding: Contemporary blind-tooled quarter pigskin over modern wooden boards, with one metal clasp and catch. On both covers triple intersecting fillets form a frame, the upper and lower compartments with a circular foliate stamp; the inner rectangle is divided by further triple fillets into triangular compartments, containing the circular foliate stamp and a lozenge-shaped fleur-de-lis stamp. On the spine is a paper label with the title of the book in a sixteenth/seventeenth-century hand.

Size: 233 × 163 × 44 mm.

Size of leaf: 223 × 148 mm.

Early marginal notes, including key words and commentary. Scribbles in crayon and ink on blank leaves between the two parts.

Partial rubrication: some two- to three-line initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; some capital strokes and underlining in red; some woodcuts coloured in red, yellow, and green.

Provenance: Johannes Sartoris (fl. 1531); inscription on a1r: ‘Sum ex libris Johannis Sartoris.' Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Württemberg, Augustinian Hermits; inscription on a1r: ‘FF. Erem.
