Slight damage and repair to corner of e1; leaf f7 torn.
Binding: Sixteenth-century German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards; two clasps and catches; turquoise-edged leaves. Labels, bearing the name of the author and the title of the work, at the head of the spine, also scars of earlier labels; paper label numbered ‘10' towards the tail of the spine. On both covers fillets form a border within which is a foliate roll. Fillets form a inner frame within which is an ornamental roll. Further fillets form the inner rectangle which is blank.
Size: 198 × 145 × 57 mm.
Size of leaf: 189 × 133 mm.
Early annotations, including extraction of key words and notes structuring the text, also ‘nota' marks and underlining in the text in black, red and green.
Provenance: Simon Grassius (sixteenth century?); cancelled inscription on [*1r]: ‘Simonis Grassij Sepusiensis'. Thomas Sigilius (sixteenth/seventeenth century); inscription on [*1r]: ‘Ex bibliotheca R. patris Thomae Sigilij Suitanien[sis] [ ] 604 [ ]'.
