On [a1r] a three-line initial ‘H' is supplied in blue and on [a3r] a six-line initial ‘S' is supplied in interlocked red and blue, both with red pen-work infill and extensions into the margins; other one- and two-line initials are supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes and underlining in red.

Provenance: Purchased in 1887: see note on front pastedown: ‘Bought in 1887 for £4. 10. 0 out of the donation of £100 from a member [Sir William Reynell Anson (1843-1914)] of All Souls' Coll.’
