Leaf l5 is made up with a leaf formerly used as a pastedown. Notes by E. G. Duff, dated 8 May 1883, attached to front endleaves, detailing the wanting leaves, and suggesting errors in the pagination or binding.

Binding: Nineteenth-century half calf; marbled paper boards; bound for the Bodleian Library.

Size: 310 × 225 × 22 mm.

Size of leaf: 300 × 201 mm.

Annotations on H4r in German in the same hand as the inscription on [*1r] (see below).

Two- and three-line initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red; capital strokes in red. Woodcut on b1r, and some initials coloured in green, brown, and yellow.

Provenance: Unidentified German monastic house; inscription on [*1r]: ‘Mein Herr ist das Closter zu Zschlin(?) no. 35'. Acquired between c.1834 and 1880.
