Binding: Contemporary English (`Dragon Binder') blind-tooled calf over wooden boards. Triple fillets form an intersecting double frame. Within the outer frame, circular rosette stamps and lozenge-shaped dragon stamps; diagonal triple fillets divide the inner rectangle into lozenge-shaped and triangular compartments, decorated with the dragon stamp; see Oldham, Blind-stamped Bindings, pl. xv no. 146, 148. Clasps and catches lost. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at the head of upper cover. Faint manuscript title along the fore-edge: ‘Questiones holkot super quattuor libros Sententiarum'. ‘22' in black across the head of the fore-edge. Rebacked.

Fragments of a noted breviary were removed from the binding in Oct. 1952, and are now MS. Lat. liturg. b. 7, fols 125-6 (including feast of SS. Egidius and Priscus, 1 Sept.)
