Le problème de l'S fermé (London, 1935), 93 no. 282. Leather ties lost. Gilt-edged leaves. ‘9' printed on square paper label at the tail of the spine.

On the upper left-hand corner of front pastedown a reference to SC 16079. ‘77' in brown ink on the upper right-hand corner of rear pastedown. Inscription on the upper right-hand corner of front endleaf has been cut away.
Woodcuts decorated in gold and colours. Two-line initials are supplied in blue with white pen-work decoration, on a red ground; other initials, paragraph marks, and line fillers are supplied in gold on a red or blue ground. Capitals touched with yellow wash. Ruling in red ink.
