Binding: Half russia with red paper boards, the spine blind-tooled; marbled pastedowns.

Early marginal annotations and ‘nota' marks.

On A1r a four-line initial ‘M' is supplied in red, within a blue frame, the area defined by the letter having foliate decoration in reserved white, and with blue pen-work extensions into the margins; other two- to four-line initials are supplied in red or blue; occasional paragraph marks are supplied in blue.

Provenance: T B [ ]; monogram in black ink on A1r, and on P6v. Thomas Thorpe (1791-1851); Catalogue of a Singularly Curious and Interesting Collection of Books and Manuscripts . . .
