For the faulty imposition of gathering g see Hillard. Sheppard notes that, as type 65 G appears here in a later state (more angular form of d) from that of an edition of Jehannot's of 11 Aug. 1495 only a fortnight earlier (BMC VIII 195), ‘an error in the year-date' of the edition of 27 Aug. ‘is highly probable' (BMC VIII 194, note on type 65G). For Jean Petit's device see Polain, Marques, no. 144 (not 146).
