Binding: Contemporary German (Augsburg, Kyriß workshop no. 83) blind-tooled calf, with covers laid down over nineteenth-century calf; rebacked. On the upper cover fillets form concentric frames; within the outer frame is a cresting and floral roll (Kyriß pl. 169, no. 1); triple fillets form the inner rectangle containing merrythoughts, each with a fleuron. On the lower cover fillets form concentric frames; within the inner frame is the cresting and floral roll; further triple fillets form the inner rectangle, which is decorated like that on the upper cover.
Size: 287 × 211 × 55 mm.
Size of leaf: 274 × 193 mm.
Some marginal annotations and underlining in the text in black ink. Manuscript title on a1r. Note in a sixteenth-century hand on [V8v]: ‘Dialogi pueriles nomenclaturass(!) rerum domesticarum continentes in usum schole Neotinge Bauarice per Symonem Roth Luduic[ ] in hunc ordinem redacti anno etc. 56'.
