Binding: Sixteenth-century German blind-tooled pigskin over wooden boards; two clasps lost, remains of two catches. On both covers fillets form an outer frame within which is a foliate roll. Further fillets form an inner frame within which is a small star stamp and a small floral stamp. Fillets form an inner rectangle, within which is an ornamental roll; the rectangle is divided into two square compartments, those on the upper cover being further divided into lozenge-shaped and triangular compartments, and containing the star stamp and a small circular fleur-de-lis stamp; and those on the lower cover being divided into four triangular compartments, each with the small floral stamp. Remains of a paper label on the spine.

Size: 293 × 201 × 70 mm.

Size of leaf: 282 × 191 mm.

Occasional early marginal and interlinear annotations.

Provenance: Georgius Grasweger (fl. 1534); inscription on H5r: ‘Anno salutis nostre tricesimo quarta Georgius Grasweger precium pro te numerauit die Iouis nona mensis Julii'.
