Binding: Paper boards covered with parchment from a fourteenth-century liturgical (Missal?) manuscript, remains of two leather ties. Sprinkled red-edged leaves.

Size: 154 × 109 × 42 mm.

Size of leaf: 148 × 105 mm.

A few marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, in a contemporary humanist hand; a few other similar notes in two different later hands, one probably that of Johannes Engelb[ ].

The woodcut on a1r and a few initials coloured in green.

Provenance: Johannes Engelb[ ] (fl. 1650). Weissenau, Württemberg, diocese of Konstanz, Premonstratensians, SS. Petrus et Paulus; inscription on a1r of item 1: ‘Joannis Engelb. Weiss. 1650.’ Purchased from Menno Hertzberger in 1966, Catalogue 250, no. 65.

Provenance: Brother Paulinus de Mara (fl. 1538). Brother Isidorus Parmensis (fl. 1538); inscription on A8v: ‘Frater paulinus de mara largitus est mihi fratri Isidoro parmensi hunc librum, die 20 Junij 1538'. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834.
