Binding: Eighteenth-century gold-tooled half calf, rebacked, with Buntpapier over paper boards.

Size of leaf: 282 × 193 mm.

Early marginal and interlinear annotations, including corrections to the text, ‘nota' marks, and pointing hands; headings of ‘satyra' are supplied in black ink. Bibliographical notes by Heber on both pastedowns, and on the verso of the rear endleaf.

Provenance: Richard Heber (1773-1833); see Catalogue, 6 (1835), lot 2176, sold for £1. 14. 0. Purchased for £1. 11. 6; see Books Purchased (1841), 37, and pencil note giving the price on the recto of the front endleaf of item 1.
