Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century gold-tooled brown morocco; gilt-edged leaves, marbled pastedowns; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

Some early annotations, including corrections to the text in black ink.

One- to six-line initials are supplied in red or blue with pen-work decoration within the body of the letter and extensions into the margins in the other colour; capital strokes in red.
