Binding: Nineteenth-century half calf over marbled pasteboards; bound for Kloß. Partial manuscript title and shelfmark, ‘300', across the fore-edge and along the lower edge.

Size of leaf: 212 × 149 mm.

A few marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, underlining, and manuscript foliation: 1-116, in Scheurl's hand.

Provenance: Christoph Scheurl (1481-1542); inscription on a1r of item 1: ‘Iste liber est mei christoferi schewrlij nure[nbergensis] quod partim Emi rome Anno Iubilei partim bon[onie] et v[alet] totus cum ligatura bon[oninorum] 35. Laus deo.'; see Wagner 76-7, who lists on 77 the other items formerly bound with this volume. Georg Franz Burkhard Kloß (1787-1854); book-label; his sale (1835), lot 2153. Date of acquisition unknown; books with neighbouring shelfmarks were acquired in 1834 and 1835.
