Binding: Nineteenth-century gold-tooled red morocco, with gold-tooled spine and turn-ins, gilt-edged leaves, and marbled pastedowns.

A few faded marginal notes in German, mainly extracting key words, in a sixteenth-century hand.

Initials, paragraph marks, and underlining of chapter headings are supplied in red. Capital strokes in red.
