Wanting a1-2, 4.5, 7-8, b5, c6, including all the woodcuts; Sheppard notes that the missing text has been supplied in manuscript (in a seventeenth-century(?) hand), although, where this text can be compared with that in Fairfax Murray, French Books, there seem to be some variations.

Three later woodcuts have been pasted in on the substitute leaves a1v, b5r, and c6v. Leaf a3r: ‘[L]Aſſiduite et frequētacion de mon poy | gnant penſer me fiſt entrer en vng ſō | ge . . .'; [f4r], l. 1: ‘Par les veuez raiſons et reigles | . . .'; (l. 20) ‘Cy finiſt la dance des aueugles | imprimee a lion.’

Binding: Eighteenth/nineteenth-century mottled parchment with gold-tooled spine.

Size: 194 × 135 × 31 mm.

Size of leaf: 188 × 125 mm.

In the lower margin of [f4r] a cropped note in French in a sixteenth-century(?) hand.

Three-line initials, some with extensions into the margins, and paragraph marks supplied in red; underlining in red; capitals touched with yellow wash.

Provenance: Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate; bibliographical notes on the front endleaves. Bequeathed in 1834.
