Binding: Nineteenth(?)-century blind-tooled calf. Rebacked in 1954 by Ron Harvey, Bodleian Library (`R. H. 25.2.54' on rear pastedown).

Size: 340 × 230 × 55 mm.

Size of leaf: 330 × 220 mm.

A gathering of eight parchment leaves containing a contemporary manuscript text of the Canon, with music on three red staves, and large initials supplied in interlocked red and blue with red and black pen-work decoration, is inserted between gatherings s and A. A few marginal notes, mainly supplementing the text, in two different early English(?) hands.

The Crucifixion cut is coloured. A few initials are supplied in blue.

Provenance: Richard Gough (1735-1809); ‘B. T. II. 332' in brown ink on a1r. Bequeathed in 1809.
