The same text, complete with black-printed portions, is printed on the next page, [N1r], col. 1, lines 1-19. Leaves [*3-8] (calendar) and [a1] are made up from a smaller copy, with red-edged leaves. Leaves [*9-10] are misbound in reverse order after [a1].

Gathering [**], containing the Canon, printed on parchment.

Binding: Sixteenth-century German blind-tooled calf over paper boards. With leather index tabs and blue-edged leaves. Triple fillets form a quadruple frame. Within the outer frame a double cresting roll. Within the following frame a floral and foliate with hunting scene (a dog after a wild boar) roll. Within the following frame, a decorative foliate roll. Rebacked, reusing the original spine, with a repeated lozenge-shaped ornament in gilt.

Size: 375 × 285 × 80 mm.

Size of leaf: 365 × 262 mm.

On [*1r] ‘Officium de compassione Virginis gloriose', followed by ‘Sequentia de passione Christi' added in a sixteenth-century hand. On [*1v] an office in Greek with the same title, in the same hand. Occasional marginal notes, mainly correcting and supplementing the text, in a contemporary German hand. On [Q8v], blank, an addition in the contemporary hand: ‘Sequentia de sancta Anna'; followed by ‘In festo Sixti incidit festum Transfigurationis Iesu Christi' in the sixteenth-century hand. On [R3v] and [R4r-v] the office ‘Pro rege catholico' has been added in the contemporary hand. ‘£4. 14. 6' in pencil on front endleaf.
