Binding: Eighteenth-century(?) Italian half parchment with paper boards. Remains of a parchment index tab on r11.

Size: 221 × 158 × 65 mm.

Size of leaf: 211 × 148 mm.

On a2r a 13-line initial ‘Q' is supplied in blue within a red pen-work border, with red pen-work extensions into the margins, and with red pen-work decoration within the body of the letter; other two- to six-line initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue; some capital strokes in red, some capitals touched with yellow wash.

Provenance: Albergotti family (eighteenth century); name on the front pastedown. Dimitrij Petrovich, Count Boutourlin (1763-1829); shelfmark no. 418, see Catalogue (1831); purchased at his sale for £0. 12. 0: see sale catalogue (1841), lot 83, and Books Purchased (1842), 5.
