Binding: Eighteenth-century Dutch gold-tooled red morocco, with gilt-edged leaves and the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library inside the upper cover.

Size: 313 × 225 × 25 mm.

Size of leaf: 297 × 204 mm.

Eighteenth-century manuscript title, in brown ink, on a rectangular paper label pasted onto front endleaf. Occasional marginal notes, mainly extracting key words and correcting the text, in an early hand. A few marginal notes, also extracting key words, in a humanist hand in brown and red ink.

Large initials at the beginning of each chapter are supplied in red with brown pen-work decoration; other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red. Early running chapter number in the upper margin of the rectos, in brown ink, in the same hand which has supplied the pen-work decoration to the initials.
