25 lines of text headed ‘De celebratione missarū', wrongly inserted by the compositor on [g4v] col. 2, have been crossed out, and ‘vacat' has been written in the margin in a fifteenth/sixteenth-century hand. The same text, differently set, is correctly printed on [g7v].

Binding: Contemporary sheep over wooden boards, with traces of red dye; two clasps and catches lost. A paper manuscript label is at the head of the spine.

Size: 297 × 210 × 37 mm.

Size of leaf: 285 × 200 mm.

On [a1r] a four-line initial ‘A' was supplied in red, now oxidized to a silver colour, on a ground of blue and maroon with white pen-work decoration; other two- to four-line initials are supplied in red, blue, or interlocked red and blue; paragraph marks and running book numbers are supplied in red or blue and capitals are touched with yellow wash.

Provenance: Caspar Unglert (fifteenth/sixteenth century); inscription on the verso of the front endleaf: ‘Caspa[r]us Vnglert huius libri est possessor'. Ottobeuren, Bavaria, Benedictines, SS. Alexander Martyr et Theodorus; washed inscription on [a1r]: ‘Ex Bibliotheca sanctorum Alexandri et Theodori in Ottob.' J. T. Hand (fl. 1834-1837); circular ticket at the tail of the spine; purchased at his sale (1837), lot 234, for £0. 4. 0: see Books Purchased (1837), 38.
