Some early marginal annotations in both red and black ink, including occasional comments on the text, but consisting mainly of extraction of key words, ‘nota' marks, and pointing hands; also underlining in the text in black ink. Irregular early manuscript foliation in red ink: 1-189.

Occasional paragraph marks supplied in red.

Provenance: Duplicate from the Royal Library, Munich(?); pencil number on a1r: ‘6053'. Acquired between 1847 and c.1892, probably in 1850; not in Catalogus (1843) with Appendix.
