Binding: Seventeenth-century English (Oxford) calf. Formerly chained: staple marks of a hasp at the head of the upper cover. ‘82’ in white at the head of the spine, ‘13’ and ‘82’ (former shelfmarks, see below) on fore-edge in black ink.

Size: 248 × 188 × 77 mm.

Size of leaf: 240 × 173 mm.

Early marginal annotations, in Latin and English, including extraction of keywords and phrases, pen-trials and scribbles and drawings in English hands, including 'Si quis sentiret quo tendit aut unde veniret | Numquam gauderet sed omni tempore fleret' on A1r; an ink drawing of a hand on c8v; artistic drawings on l8r.

Provenance: William Reed (sixteenth century); name on r4r. John Reed (Rede) (sixteenth century); name on [et]5v. John Selden (1584-1654); see MS. Broxb. 84. 10, p. 5 (dated to 1486). Presented in 1659.
