Some early marginal annotations, including ‘nota' marks, also underlining in the text in black ink.

On b1r a nine-line Nuremberg initial ‘D' is supplied in blue on a burnished gold ground, the gilt with punch-dotting, the initial with curling acanthus leaves in blue on white, within a segmented frame of pale green and red edged in yellow, with an extension into the inner margin in green, blue, and yellow; on2 aa3r a 17-line Nuremberg initial ‘R' is supplied in burnished gold with punch-dotting on a blue ground decorated in white, all within a segmented frame of pale green and red edged in yellow, with an extension into the inner margin in gold, blue, and white; other two- to four-line initials are supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks, capital strokes, and underlining are supplied in red.
