At the head of [a2r], the hymn Nocte surgentes is in manuscript; from Ps 109 ([h6r]) onwards, manuscript rubrics and antiphons have been inserted in a contemporary hand in brown ink. Manuscript foliation in brown ink: 1-87.

On [a2r] a six-line initial ‘B' is supplied in pink with black pen-work decoration within a square blue ground with white pen-work decoration; the area defined by the letter is in gold with blue and red floral decoration. The lower margin of the same leaf is decorated with a branching tree and with green, blue, red, and yellow floral and foliate decoration and with gold dots. Other principal initials are supplied in gold and colours, often with extensions into the margin to form a border. Other initials are supplied in red or blue, sometimes with reserved white or brown or red pen-work decoration.
