Incipit: ‘[D]uas esse uitas eternas, et duo essentialia premia: uitam scilicet anime . . .’ A collection of excerpts from the treatise of Johannes de Tambaco. The heading, which records that Rimbertinus compiled the work on his papal legation to Germany, probably refers to that in Scandinavia. See T. Kaeppeli, ‘Bartholomeus Lapaccius de' Rimbertinis (1402-66)', Archivum Fratrum Predicatorum, 9 (1939) 86-127, at 105-6 for this edition and the legations.

Sheppard notes that this copy is a different issue from that described by Reichling, and that the title woodcut of a master and thirteen scholars (as Sander) differs from Reichling's description and is the one reproduced by Essling, pt I, vol. 2, p. 424, no. 1129. On [*1v]: ‘Epiſtola fratris Donati de Brixia ordinis predicatoruƺ in ſingularē | atqƺ p̄cla de delicijs ſenſibilibus paradiſi librum: Incipit'.

Binding: Eighteenth-century quarter red morocco; gilt title on the spine; marbled pastedowns; a red and yellow striped silk bookmark.
