[ ] Silvestre (nineteenth century); see note on the verso of the first front endleaf: ‘This book was purchased at an an[onymous?] sale at Salle Silvestre when the books were not permitted to be examined but warranted perfect, upon looking it over it appears to want the title the remainder seems to be [ ]'. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834.
