Binding: Nineteenth-century quarter gold-tooled calf over pasteboards covered with floral paper; sprinkled red-edged leaves. A woodcut of ‘Salomon rex' from an edition of Schedel's Nuremberg Chronicle (not yet identified) is pasted onto the rear pastedown.

Size: 208 × 153 × 10 mm.

Size of leaf: 200 × 145 mm.

Extensive bibliographical notes in Douce's hand.

Provenance: Dr John Monro (1715-1791); bought by Douce at his sale (23 Apr. 1792), lot 3226, for £0. 3. 0. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834.
