Binding: Nineteenth-century gold-tooled calf, with gilt-edged leaves.

Size: 188 × 135 × 9 mm.

Size of leaf: 183 × 133 mm.

Early folio numbering in the middle of the lower margin of the rectos in light brown ink: 165-184; the sequence shows that the leaves were missing at an early stage.

Provenance: Bookseller's circular label pasted on the upper left-hand corner of the upper cover: ‘1184/3'. Thomas Ryburn Buchanan (1846-1911). Presented in 1941 by Mrs Buchanan.
