Binding: Early eighteenth-century calf over thick rope fibre-boards, stained olive-green (later?). Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at tail of lower cover. Sprinkled red-edged leaves. The gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers; ‘21' in white across the head of the spine, and across the fore-edge.

Size: 312 × 218 × 32 mm.

Size of leaf: 305 × 203 mm.

A few marginal notes in a sixteenth-century English hand, extracting key words and supplying underlining.

Provenance: Nathaniel Crynes (1686-1745); see inscription ‘E libris Nath. Crynes' on a1r. Bequeathed in 1745.
