Binding: Seventeenth-century blind-tooled reversed calf, with the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers. Formerly chained: staple-marks of a hasp at head of upper cover. Yellow-edged leaves.

Size: 292 × 215 × 60 mm.

Size of leaf: 275 × 184 mm.

Occasional marginal notes, mainly extracting names of authors, also underlining, elaborate pointing hands, and ‘nota' marks, in an early hand, brown ink. On P5v and P6r the same hand has written a number of quotations from the Bible, Augustine, ‘Hugo', etc. A later hand has added on the front endleaf: ‘Auctor est Nicolaus de Saliceto', in brown ink.
