Wanting the blank leaf [a1r]; gathering [e] is misbound after [g]; [i] after [m]; [n] after [p].

Binding: Eighteenth-century Dutch gold-tooled red morocco; see Foot, ‘Incunable Collector', no. 8, fig. 2 [but not, as suggested there, the Crevenna copy]. Marbled pastedowns; green silk bookmark.

Size: 416 × 292 × 47 mm.

Size of leaf: 400 × 270 mm.

‘832' and ‘1885' on front endleaf. ‘Registrum super Seruium' in a sixteenth-century round hand at the head of the table on [s1r].

Initials are supplied in red, with reserved-white decoration coloured in yellow wash. Pilcrows and some underlining are supplied in red, capital strokes in yellow wash.

Provenance: Lyon, Jesuits, S. Trinitas; inscription on [a2r]: ‘Collegii Societ. Jesu Lugdun̄. SS. Trinit. catal. inscr. 1695'. Richard Mead (1673-1754); shelfmark ‘C,4,11' on front endleaf; sale (18 Nov. 1754), lot 717, sold for £0. 16. 0 (ex informatione Jos van Heel). Gerard Meerman (1722-1771); acquired after 1747 (ex informatione Jos van Heel); manuscript catalogue (MMW S 145 IV, fol. 132r). Johan Meerman (1753-1815); purchased at his sale, vol.
