[First prologue.] Incipit: ‘[A]utor(!) libri cui nomen speculum humane saluationis imposuit stilo humili et faciliter . . .’
[D4r] [Second prologue.] Incipit: ‘[A]utor(!) libri cui speculum humane saluationis imposuit nomen. In primis duobus capitulis . . .’ In both prologues the anonymous author states that he has prepared the text while at the monastery of SS. Remarks: Printed with Günther Zainer's type 118b; the second book in his first advertisement. A connection with SS. Ulrich and Afra is known only from a manuscript note in the Fairfax Murray copy, quoted in full in BMC II pp. 338-9. BSB‑Ink dates [not after 1473]. Sheppard ascribes to [Monastery of SS. Ulrich and Afra].

A few marginal notes in Latin, mainly extracting key words from the Latin as well as the German text, and a few scribbles, in a sixteenth-century hand in brown ink.
Woodcuts and capitals touched with red.
