Some marginal notes, in some parts extensive, extracting key words but also commenting on matters related to the city, in a sixteenth-century (post 1527: see note on gg4v) Italian hand in brown and black inks. ‘Statuto di Bergomo' in brown ink on [*2r] suggests that the first gathering has been wanting since an early date. Early manuscript foliation ‘1-2020'.
Provenance: Georg Franz Burkhard Kloß (1787-1854); book-label; not identified in his sale. Sir George Bowyer (1811-1883); purchased by him for £1. 5. 0. Apparently presented in 1842, although Sheppard records the date as 1838.
SHELFMARK: Bowyer 26.
