Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf, with the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers; the spine gold-tooled; the title and imprint in gilt on two square green leather labels pasted on the spine; sprinkled red-edged leaves.

Size: 185 × 141 × 26 mm.

Size of leaf: 178 × 123 mm.

On the front of the rear endleaf a poem and a prayer in a contemporary German hand in brown ink: ‘Littora quot conchas rosarea quot amena flores | quotue soporiferum grana papauer habet | (mundi ruinas) piscibus quot unda natatur | vessilius(?) totus numerum dic . . .' (Ov. Tr. 5. 2. 23-5, with the last line unidentified); ‘Sancta Susanna exaudi me in dei nomine et uide angustias meas et cogita . . . et angustiis meis amen'.
