On a1r, below the title-page, a note in a sixteenth-century German hand in brown ink: ‘id est sub tecto nomine Chrysostomi. Lege Prologum'. A few more notes, mainly extracting key words and concepts, in the same hand on a2r. ‘30' in pencil in the lower right-hand corner of a1r.

Initials, paragraph marks, and capital strokes are supplied in red.
