Binding: Nineteenth-century grey marbled paper boards; lot number ‘216' on an octagonal ticket and author's name in ink on the verso of the front endleaf.

Early numbering in brown ink in the upper right-hand corner of the rectos has been erased.

Initials and capital strokes are supplied in red.
