Binding: Eighteenth-century gold-tooled red morocco, with imprint information stamped in gold on two rectangular green leather labels on the spine. Gilt-edged leaves; marbled pastedowns.

Size: 285 × 201 × 45 mm.

Size of leaf: 277 × 185 mm.

On the verso of the front endleaf a note in MacCarthy Reagh's hand: ‘Collationné, complet, beau exemplaire sans deffauts CMc'.

On [a1r] an eight-line initial ‘B' is supplied in interlocked red and blue. Other initials are supplied in red or blue; paragraph marks, underlining of chapter headings, and capital strokes in red.
