Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf; red-edged leaves; marbled pastedowns.

Size: 284 × 208 × 15 mm.

Size of leaf: 275 × 195 mm.

Frequent marginal notes in Latin in a contemporary German hand, mainly supplying pointing hands, brackets, underlining, headings structuring the text, and extracting key words. Occasional notes in a later German hand, mainly extracting key words. On recto of front endleaf the note ‘balach'. The pencilled number ‘6' on front endleaf and [a1r].

On [a1r] and [a4r] a three-line initial ‘P' is supplied in red with reserved white decoration and red pen-work extensions (cadelle style) above the letter and in the inner margin. Elsewhere initials and paragraph marks are supplied in alternate red and blue.
