Binding: Eighteenth-century English calf; on both covers a single gold fillet forms a frame; single gold fillet on edges of boards; Greek-key tool on turn-ins; gilt-edged leaves; the gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers; marbled pastedowns; pink silk bookmark; probably bound for the Bodleian Library shortly after acquisition; for a similar binding see A‑522 (Auct. 7Q 2.23).

Size: 317 × 222 × 35 mm.

Size of leaf: 306 × 201 mm.

Paragraphs have been numbered mostly in arabic numerals in an early hand in brown ink.

Provenance: ‘Suor Monica' ‘Suor Carubina' in early hands in light brown ink, on a6r. Maffeo Pinelli (1735-1785); Morelli (1787), III no. 7456; sale (1789), lot 12361, the annotated sale catalogue gives no name of purchaser, but the same price as Books Purchased (1789).
