Some marginal annotations to Verg. G. 1 and Verg. A. in two contemporary cursive Italian hands, mainly extracting personal names, and key words and phrases (including etymologies: e.g. on [d5r]: ‘Auellanae ab opido campaniae denominatur ubi abundant') from Servius' commentary, and supplying ‘nota' marks, rhetorical definitions, underlining, and leaf signatures.

On [a2r] a 12-line Italian (Venetian?) initial ‘V' is supplied in gold on a square blue ground; the space within the body of the letter painted in red and green; with white pen-work. Other principal initials are supplied in a similar style; see Pächt and Alexander II, 110 no. pr. 78. Elsewhere initials are supplied in blue.
