Wanting C7–9, containing the Priapea: these leaves have been cut away; it has not proved possible to provide a detailed description of this part of the text. Leaf C10 resumes with the final distich of the poem beginning ‘Rusticus aerarii'.

Binding: Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin over boards, with two metal clasps and catches. On both covers intersecting fillets form concentric frames. Within the outer frame are a repeated foliate staff stamp and a repeated large rosette stamp. Within the inner frame are a repeated smaller foliate staff stamp and a small rosette stamp. In the inner rectangle curved-outline tools make up merrythought panels, each containing a lozenge-shaped floral stamp. The gold stamp of the Bodleian Library on both covers.

Occasional early marginal annotations, including comments on the text, corrections to the running headings, pointing hands, and ‘nota' marks. Irregular early manuscript foliation: 20-238.
