Binding: Nineteenth-century English gold-tooled blue morocco with doublures; gilt-edged leaves; grey paper pastedowns; parchment and paper endleaves; green silk bookmark.

Size: 214 × 146 × 10 mm.

Size of leaf: 210 × 142 mm.

On [a2r] a contemporary German four-line initial ‘S', later corrected to ‘T'. Elsewhere initials and capital strokes are supplied in red.

Provenance: Sir Mark Masterman Sykes (1771-1823); purchased by 1806; armorial book-plate; sale (1824), part III, lot 828; bibliographical note ‘MMS 1806'. Purchased by Heber for £23. 0. 0, according to the price in red ink in Heber's sale catalogue.
