Size of leaf: 284 × 204 mm.

‘Folio 2281' in brown ink on a slip of paper pasted to the front endleaf, probably a Memmingen press mark. Occasional marginal notes, mainly structuring and underlining the text, in an early German hand in brown ink.

Main initials are supplied in blue or red cadelle style with human profile. Other initials and paragraph marks are supplied in red or blue; underlining of chapter headings and capital strokes in red.

Provenance: Memmingen library; armorial stamp on a1r; ‘Memmingen Bibliothec'. Purchased in 1899 from Ludwig Rosenthal (1840-1928) for 150 Marks; see receipt pasted on the front endleaf and Library Bills, 29 Apr. 1899; Annual Report of the Curators of the Bodleian Library, Oxford University Gazette, 15 May 1900, 544.
