By an error of imposition the text of f7r and f8r has changed places.

Binding: Nineteenth-century(?) quarter parchment dyed green over green pasteboards, corners covered with calf. Title gilt on a rectangular red leather label at the head of the spine; green silk bookmark.

Size: 207 × 148 × 15 mm.

Size of leaf: 200 × 144 mm.

Occasional notes, extracting key words and providing corrections to the text, in Italian, and page numbering [1]-144 in a sixteenth-century Italian hand in brown ink.

Provenance: Unidentified Italian early monogram on [*1r] in brown ink: ‘M. R. A.' Maffeo Pinelli (1735-1785); see Morelli (1787), [ ] and sale (1789), lot 750 (label covered over but still legible). Thomas Crane (1808-1859); engraved monogram: T. C., surrounded by motto: ‘Qui corvos pascit pascere potest grues'. Catalogue of Books and Manuscripts, the Property of Various Collectors . . .
