Binding: Nineteenth-century blind-tooled calf; bound for the Bodleian Library. Red-edged leaves.

Size: 282 × 203 × 25 mm.

Size of leaf: 269 × 184 mm.

Occasional marginal notes, mainly extracting key words, in an early German(?) humanist hand in brown ink.

Principal initials are supplied in blue with reserved white decoration and red pen-work decoration (Dutch or Rheinland?) with extensions into the margin; paragraph marks, capital strokes, word divisions, and punctuation are supplied in red.

Provenance: Unidentified monogram, in a nineteenth-century(?) hand in brown ink, on a2r: ‘E. G. C.' Georg Franz Burkhard Kloß (1787-1854); book-label; sale (1835), lot 2437; purchased for £0. 6. 6; see Books Purchased (1835), 29.
