Occasional marginal notes, extracting key words, and a pointing hand, in a contemporary German hand in brown ink.

Initials, paragraph marks, underlining of chapter headings, and capital strokes are supplied in red.

Provenance: Unidentified stamped monogram on [*1r], [*2r], and [q6v]: ‘F G'. Upper margin of [a1r] cut away. Francis Douce (1757-1834); armorial book-plate. Bequeathed in 1834.
